Ngày 3/8, hãng tin CNBC đã đăng tải báo cáo mới của HSBC về thị trường vàng. Theo báo cáo, kinh tế không chắc chắn, căng thẳng chính trị và sự hoài nghi về cuộc bầu cử Mỹ sắp tới khiến giá vàng sẽ tăng, và vàng càng tăng cao hơn vào cuối năm khi tăng trưởng kinh tế Mỹ và đồng đô la vẫn yếu ớt.


“Chúng tôi hy vọng giá vàng có thể tăng lên trên 1.900 USD/ounce vào cuối năm nay.Kiên nhẫn là yếu tố quan trong nhất cần phải có”, báo cáo của HSBC nêu cụ thể.


HSBC khuyến nghị nắm giữ vàng như một tài sản mà nó sẽ mang lại giá trị khi các nhà đầu tư lo ngại tương lai của đồng euro và đô la Mỹ, khi các chính phủ trong khu vực đồng tiền chung châu Âu và các ngân hàng trung ương dự kiến sẽ can thiệp để vực dậy sức mạnh đồng tiền của họ.


Theo các nhà phân tích hàng hóa tại HSBC, mặc dù giá vàng hiện đang chững giá do sự gia tăng nguồn cung, thiếu hụt nhu cầu trong lĩnh vực vàng trang sức, nhưng vàng có triển vọng tích cực vào cuối năm nay do những bất ổn của cuộc khủng hoảng tài chính châu Âu và “vách đá tài khóa” vào cuối năm nay, khi chính phủ Mỹ phải quyết định có hay không tăng thuế và cắt giảm chi tiêu, có thể có nguy cơ suy thoái tương tự như ở các nước khu vực châu Âu.

Giá vàng có thể tăng từ 49 triệu đến 50 triệu đồng/lượng nếu giá vàng thế giới đạt mốc 1.900 USD/ounce vào cuối năm.
Theo truyền thống, vàng được coi là nơi ẩn náu an toàn cho các nhà đầu tư khi họ muốn để tiền trong một tài sản ổn định, nhưng cho tới thời điểm này của năm 2012, giá vàng đã giảm gần 400 USD/ounce. Từ các mức cao kỷ lục năm 2011 khi giá lên 1.920 USD/ounce, giá đã rơi về quanh mốc 1.600 USD/ounce trong vòng ba tháng qua, khiến các nhà đầu tư và các nhà phân tích phải đặt câu hỏi tại giao giá vàng không tăng hơn khi các nhà đầu tư tìm kiếm tài sản an toàn trong một môi trường kinh tế đang đầy biến động.

Như vậy, nếu theo dự báo trên, thị trường vàng trong nước tới cuối năm có thể sẽ có biến động mạnh. Nếu tỷ giá USD/VND vào cuối năm vẫn giữ ở quanh mốc 20.900 đồng, thì tính quy đổi giá 1.900 USD/ounce, vàng trong nước có thể sẽ tăng tương đương hơn 47,8 triệu đồng/lượng.


Tuy nhiên, nếu giá vàng trong nước vẫn giữ mức chênh lệch đắt hơn vàng thế giới từ 1,5 đến 2 triệu đồng/lượng như hiện nay, thì khả năng, khi giá vàng thế giới lên 1.900 USD/ounce, vàng trong nước sẽ có giá từ 49 triệu đồng tới 50 triệu đồng/lượng.
